This user lists his real name as “Online Degree.”  As if that isn’t sketchy enough, the main purpose of the account seems to be to add people as friends so they’ll get an e-mail alert, go to his user page and find links to his site which is loaded with affiliate links for online universities.

piurkbuddy (Plurk)

This fraudster pretends to be Plurk Buddy (note: the real Plurk Buddy is the automatic friend you get when you sign up for Plurk, like Tom on MySpace).  The real Plurk Buddy’s username is “plurkbuddy” with a lowercase L, whereas the fraudster uses a capital letter I in place of the lowercase L, making it appear at first glance to be the same user.  In at least one popular thread, this deceptive user purported to be an official Plurk representative, saying: “Congratulations! You have been featured on Plurk’s Plurkebrity! You also won a trip for two to Hong Kong Disneyland courtesy of Plurk.  Please check your email for further details.”  The fake user may have sent a corresponding spear phishing[?] e-mail to the target.  It is strongly recommended that you block this user.
